The short version: We collect only what we need to run the service. We don't sell or share your data for advertising. Text you send for voice generation or translation is processed by our providers and discarded — we don't store it. (Messages are different: what you post in community rooms or send in private conversations is stored — with translations and AI-spoken audio — so the conversation works across languages; see Sections 5 and 9.) Your payment data is handled entirely by Stripe, not us.
Quavara is a text-to-speech and translation service — offered through our website and through third-party platforms we may support from time to time — operated by Rise Solutions LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company doing business as Quavara ("we," "us," or "our"). We are the data controller for the personal data described here, and can be reached by post at Rise Solutions LLC, 30 N Gould St STE N, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA. Questions or privacy requests can be directed to privacy@quavara.com or through live Support inside Quavara.
This policy covers the Quavara website (including the interactive "translate & hear" demo and our waitlist and partner sign-up forms) and any third-party platform through which Quavara is offered.
From your account, we collect and store only the minimum required to operate the Service:
From the website, we may also process:
When you use the Service or the website demo, the text you submit is transmitted to our providers to produce the result. If translation is enabled, your text is first sent to our translation provider to translate it; the text (or its translation) is then sent to our voice provider to generate audio. These transmissions are encrypted in transit. We do not store the text content after delivery. The exception is messaging: messages you post in community rooms and messages you send in private one-to-one conversations are stored, with their cached translations, so the conversation can be displayed to its participants in their own languages — see Section 3. "Private" means other members cannot see the conversation; it does not mean the messages are discarded.
Synthetic speech in messaging. When a message is read aloud, the audio is produced by an AI voice — it is not a recording of any person. We store that synthetic audio, keyed to the message and the language it was spoken in, so anyone replaying the same message in the same language hears the stored copy instead of paying to generate it again. Its retention follows the message itself (see Section 9). Synthetic speech generated anywhere else — the website demo and one-off previews — is delivered and not stored. Each provider processes your text under its own privacy policy.
We rely on the following third parties, each governed by its own privacy policy:
We use your data to: track your credit balance and deduct usage; process payments and apply credits; calculate and distribute partner commissions; deliver and secure our website (including abuse prevention and rate limiting); respond to support requests; and send service, billing, and legal notices. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the Service.
Where the EU/UK GDPR applies, our legal bases are: performance of a contract (to provide the Service you request), legitimate interests (to secure and improve the Service and prevent abuse), consent (e.g., waitlist updates, which you can withdraw at any time), and legal obligation (e.g., keeping financial records).
We are based in the United States, and our providers may process data in the U.S. and other countries. Where data is transferred out of the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, as implemented by our providers.
We retain account data (your account identifier, credit balance, preferences, transaction history, email where provided, and Terms-acceptance records) for as long as your account exists. We never close an account for inactivity — purchased credit stays yours however long you are away.
Messages are a permanent record. Messages you post in community rooms or send in private conversations — together with their cached translations, their AI-spoken audio, and a version history of any edits — are retained permanently, in tamper-evident form, keyed to your account identifier rather than your name. We keep this record so that disputes can be resolved with evidence and lawful legal process can be answered accurately. Removing a message stops it being shown to anyone; the underlying record is retained. Records of moderation actions are retained for safety and legal purposes.
If you request deletion (see Section 10), we will act within 30 days by de-identifying your account: the personal identifiers that link the record to you (such as your email, phone number, and profile) are removed or unlinked, while transactional records we must keep by law (such as financial records and proof of agreement) and the pseudonymous message record described above are retained without those identifiers. Where the law of your jurisdiction requires more than this, we comply with it.
Demo text is not retained. Synthetic audio for messages is retained with the message, as described in Section 5; synthetic audio generated anywhere else is not retained.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: access a copy of your data; correct inaccurate data; delete your data; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; and data portability. To exercise any of these, contact us at privacy@quavara.com. We will respond within 30 days and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. If you are in the EEA/UK, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
If you are a California resident: we collect the categories of personal information described in Section 3 (identifiers, commercial/transaction information, and limited internet activity such as IP for security). We do not "sell" or "share" your personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and we do not use sensitive personal information for purposes requiring a right to limit. You have the right to know, delete, and correct your information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Submit requests to privacy@quavara.com.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Our website may use strictly necessary, functional storage to operate (for example, to make the demo and forms work and to apply rate limits). If you arrive through a partner's referral link, we set a first-party cookie (up to 90 days) solely to credit that partner if you sign up; it is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. Third-party platforms you connect through set their own cookies under their policies.
Quavara is an adults-only service intended solely for users who are at least 18 years old. It is not directed at children or minors, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. We do not permit anyone under 18 to create an account or use the Service. If you believe someone under 18 has provided us with personal data or used the Service, please contact us at privacy@quavara.com and we will delete the data and close the account promptly.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections and access controls. No system is completely secure, but we take this responsibility seriously and will notify affected users and authorities of a data breach as required by law.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent changes. For material changes, we will provide additional notice (such as by email or an in-product message). Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
